The land is located just outside the village of L’Esterre on the St. Louis peninsular which is some 2 miles to the south of the main town of Hillsborough. L’Esterre is a thriving local community with shops, bars, restaurants and a bakery. It is also home to Paradise Beach which stretches for about 1 mile between Lauriston Point and Cistern Point along L’Esterre Bay. The larger village of Harvey Vale with its restaurants, supermarkets and yachting community is just 1 mile away.
The land is accessed from a track which runs from L’Esterre along the St. Louis peninsular. The first part of this track has been concreted and the rest is kept in motorable condition. A further track leads off to the right to the land. This is concreted at the top and then it has been cut to go down to the beach. The land is wooded and gently sloping at the top and then flattens out towards the beach.

Non-Nationals must apply for an Aliens’ Land Holding Licence to purchase land and property in Grenada. This is a one-off government tax on foreigners buying land and property and is normally granted without complication. At present this tax is levied at 10% of the agreed purchase price or the value of the property as determined by the Inland Revenue Department. If required, Carriacou Real Estate Ltd can advise on all aspects of purchasing and the appointment of a local lawyer. Our sister company Down Island Ltd offers a full property management and rental service.
