The Veranda Beach House sits in a sheltered cove resting naturally on the edge of Tom’s Bay. It is surrounded by a lush, well established tropical garden with several fruit trees. Its unique architecture and high ceilings make it spacious and breezy, taking advantage of the trade winds. In the center of the Great Room ceiling is a cupola which draws out the warm air. The house is fully furnished with much of the furniture being hand crafted by the owner from local hard wood. The kitchen is well appointed and the entire house is screened against insects. The windows are wooden louvers as are the internal doors. The floors are tiled throughout. There is an outside swim shower in the garden and direct access to Tom’s Bay via some steps and a concrete path.

Electricity is provided by Grenlec. Telephone and Internet by FLOW (formerly LIME).  Water is collected on the roof and stored in a concrete cistern under the house. The cistern holds approximately 18,000 gallons. The water is then pumped to the outlets on demand (water pump replaced in 2013). Hot water is provided by a solar system.

Non-Nationals must apply for an Aliens’ Land Holding Licence to purchase land and property in Grenada.
