Beachcomber is located on the Craigston Estate, a former lime plantation and one of the best residential areas, much favored by expatriates for their vacation and permanent homes. The Estate is situated 1½ miles to the north of the island's only town of Hillsborough and is accessed from the main road to Bogles. There are concrete estate roads leading about half a mile through pasture land to the property.
The property benefits from covenants designed to protect the peaceful, residential nature
of the area. There is an Owners' Association of which all homeowners are required to be members.
The property was constructed during 1993 of rendered concrete blocks. The roof beams, which are exposed to the interior of the property, are treated pine and between these is treated groove ply. The roof is covered with red clay tiles. During 2000 a very substantial sea wall was constructed to prevent land erosion. Steps from the garden lead over this wall directly onto the beach. In 2007/8 there was a program of refurbishment which included glass sash windows with insect screens, wooden shutters, retractable insect screens to the doorways, a remodeled kitchen and full A/C throughout.

There is no other water supply to the house other than the cistern. The owners report that the water is sweet and has always been more than ample for household needs and for watering the gardens.

Non-Nationals must apply for an Aliens' Land Holding Licence to purchase land and property in Grenada.
